Crash bars also incorporate a 3mm (1/8") stainless steel skid plate to protect the vulnerable cast aluminum oil pan which hangs dangerously below the engine and is pretty much the lowest part of the bike!

The sacrificial plastic crash bar pads protect the crash bar and reduce impact from falling. They are easily replaced if they are damaged in a tip-over
