Ohlins STX46 Shock for 2021-2025 HONDA CRF 300L. 300LS and 300L Rally The single biggest complaint from CRF 300l and Rally owners is that the suspension is sprung way too light and the damping is inadequate. The bike seems to be set up for a 100-pound beginner rider- Here's how to fix that.  A heavier spring or adjusting the pre-load will not resolve the issue. 

The shock comes with a 95Nm spring best suited for riders 175-220 lbs. Springs for heavier riders are also available on our website.

OHLINS Fork Fluid Product Features:

Öhlins has developed high-quality oils for its fork spring kits. They include a range of fork oils which will increase the performance of original telescopic and upside-down forks. The different viscosities available make it possible to select the most suitable oil. (7.5W for 250L and 20W for the Rally)

• What distinguishes Öhlins fork oil from conventional oils is that it reduces friction, stays cleaner, has a long service life, and is highly resistant to foaming (known as cavitation). Together with the front fork springs from Öhlins, a considerable improvement in the responsiveness and performance of an original fork can be achieved.

PLEASE NOTE!  The CRF 250L and Rally models only have 1 fork spring and it is housed inside the right fork leg. Also, there is a single aluminum spring spacer included in the Ohlins fork spring kit, it is used on the standard 250L and goes on top of the right spring. It is not used on the Rally. This is covered in the provided instructions, but folks are overlooking it.

Hook: Upgrade alloy hook straps for older generation US-10 and 20 packs (standard on post 2012 product). Extra secure sub-frame fitting kit allows tailpack combinations of up to 90-litres. Fitting straps have been designed to fit virtually any style of bike. Particularly suitable for traditional one-piece seats or bolt-on seat-pads/racks.

Fitting: NB - Some bikes already have web loops attached to the seat-pad/base. In this case we still recommend the fitting of the Kriega loops, as fitting to the subframe is far stronger than to the seat.

Remove bike seat and locate the best mounting areas on the rear subframe. It may be necessary to slot the internal plastic tray if no subframe metalwork is exposed. Attach the 4x 20mm web loops securely to high strength areas of the frame. The 20mm loops are adjustable in length. Final adjustments should be carried out with the seat/pad fitted. Once set, the web must be threaded back through the adjuster to lock-off the webbing. See the threading diagram on this page. To fit the US-pack, hook on the web loop, attach the top quick-release buckle and cinch down the bag on to the bike. Always use the 2 x strap keepers on the web to manage the loose ends. Please also ensure that the quick-release buckles are correctly 'clicked'

The center top rack is good for small luggage set up and especially Kriega luggage, however if you need access to the battery or electrics whilst on a ride you need to remove the rack which can be a little annoying and secondly the rack fits over the passenger seat so no place for a passenger to sit. The top rack with side racks (the part you are currently viewing) is good for riders that have soft luggage and side racks are slightly raised off the side with rubber stand-offs so they stop potential damage caused by luggage rubbing on the plastics. The new rear rack V2 with grab rails  (available here) is great as it allows access to air filter & electrics etc., without the need to remove the seat whilst out on a ride. The real benefit of V2 is using the grab rails to pick up the bike or lift the bike out of ruts & muddy holes etc... as T7 has nothing to hold onto at the rear of the bike. This V2 option allows for much larger luggage to be carried as racks sits further out off the back of the bike. On a side note, the V2 version can also act as rear crash bars as they stick slightly out from the side of the bike. We've tested all options, and this also comes from reliable customer feedback.

The Fork kit comes with 3 springs, one light spring for 300L riders up to 175 lbs (7.5N/mm), one stiffer for 175+ 300L and Rally riders (8.5N/mm), the last hard spring for Rally riders (9.5N/mm).  PLEASE NOTE!  The CRF 300L and Rally models only have 1 fork spring and it is housed inside the right fork leg. Also, there is a single aluminum spring spacer included in the Ohlins fork spring kit, it goes on top of the right spring.

Add some room for switches and electrical accessories in an ergonomically safe and accessible location around the perimeter of the stock instrument panel.  Constructed of 16 gauge steel powder coated a nice satin black. 

ABS Models, please note: You will have to relocate your ABS switch. Details in video at the bottom of this page. 

To install, you'll need to remove the instrument panel. This is fairly easy. It takes about half an hour with common hand tools.  We recommend watching our LED turn signal video as it clearly shows how to remove the windscreen,  the headlight assembly and then you have easy access the 3 screws that hold the instrument panel in place as well as the wiring harness connector. With the panel removed, position the Rally Dash into place end then simply re-install the panel, headlight and windscreen and you are ready to wire up some switches and install your favorite electrical accessories! 

ABS models will require you to relocate the ABS switch bracket. 

The upper outlet port diameter is 1-1/8" 

The lower switch ports are 1/2" diameter openings.

A common question is “Can the skid plate and crash bars be installed together?”  Yes, both parts include spacers that are used in the main mounting locations when the part is installed by itself.  SRC Designs Cargo Tail Rack for Yamaha Ténéré 700 2020 - 2025

The top plate is made of strong 3mm aluminum alloy plate for an optimal balance of strength to weight. Lots of openings for strapping and bungee cords.  This rack also includes stainless steel support brackets and is rated for up to 22 lbs  (10 Kg) of gear. 

Comparing this V2 HD tube frame rack with our V1 center rack, the center top rack of the V1 is good for small luggage set up and especially Kriega luggage, however, if you need access to the battery or electrics whilst on a ride you need to remove the rack which can be a little annoying and secondly the V1 rack fits over the passenger seat so no place for a passenger to sit. The full version of the V1  top rack with side racks is good for riders that have soft luggage as the side racks are slightly raised off the side with rubber stands offs so they stop potential damage caused by luggage rubbing on the plastics.

This new rear rack (V2) with grab rails is great as it allows access to the air filter & electrics etc. without need to remove the seat whilst out on a ride. The real benefit of V2 is using the grab rails to pick up the bike or lift the bike out of ruts & muddy holes etc...as T7 has nothing to hold onto at rear of bike. This V2 option allows for much larger luggage to be carried as racks sits further out off the back of bike. On a side note, the V2 version can also act as rear crash bars as they stick slightly out from the side of bike. We've tested all options and this also comes from reliable customer feedback.
